I meet the boss in the late morning at the Bom Gym, for a round of quick brain storming, on things to get done immediately (how quickly that list grows!), and am off by 430 or so, to sign my sparkling new lease.
The landlady has a surprise in store - there is a power of attorney issue, and the house will not be available till the 31st of May now, so she asks - would I still want the house? Or would I rather look for something else?
Is she serious?! I can't possibly be going through this once again - it's already happened to me! I have come close to signing up, and had to back out at the last minute, cos there was an owner dispute. And poor S&P - I can't possibly just keep staying with them forever!
I step out, saying I need time to think about it, and ask my not-so-cool-anymore broker dude to show me a few more places right away. I like nothing.
Really, do I really need this new issue! S&P are so nice about it - they insist I stay on for the next few weeks, and I feel so overwhelmed and deeply grateful.
